Comparative Study between the Bible and the Quran (50) – C:
The third part (II)
(Chapter 50:6-10)

The Old Testament Verses from 1-10 are talking about Jacob died and Joseph buried him (See: A: The first part).
The New Testament Verses from 1-10 are talking about the dispute Between Jesus and the Jews about the Sabbath (See: B: The second part).
In the verses 6-10 of the Noble Quran, Allah asks you: are there rifts, cracks or defects in the Heavens? And Allah says that the hills fix the earth and rain is a blessed water. Then think about that and Remember.

The Noble Quran:

Chapter 50 in the Noble Quran is composed of 45 verses.
Verses from 6-10 are talking about 1) Allah asks you: are there rifts, cracks or defects in the Heavens?, 2) Is the rain a blessed water? Allah says: YES, 3) Allah says: the mountains fix the earth and 4) Allah describes the palm-trees in three Arabic words.
---------------

The meanings of the verses 50:6-10

Verse 50:6 says:

Have they not then looked, with their own eyes, at the heaven, being, above them, in order to take heed by their own minds [of the consequences for them] when they deny the Resurrection, how Allah has built it, without supports, and adorned it, with planets, and how there are no cracks in it?, no fissures blemishing it.
In other words, the verse says:
Have the disbelievers not then observed the sky above them how Allah has constructed it without pillars and beautified it with stars, and how there are no rifts, cracks or defects therein?

Verse 50:7 says:

And Allah has spread the earth out, He has rolled it across the face of the water, and cast in it firm mountains, to fix it in place, and caused every delightful kind, every delightful specimen, causing delight by its very beauty, to grow in it.
In other words, Allah has spread the earth out over water, and has flung firm hills so that it does not sway (therein) on the earth, and has caused of every lovely kind to grow thereon; He has caused of every kind of seemly appearance to grow thereon.
This verse illustrates the role played by the hills in fixing the earth; in other words, the hills and mountains are important factor in the prevention of swinging of the earth.
Man, the only anti-nature creature on the earth corrupts the harmony of the hills and mountains by the explosion of them every now and then.
This leads to the instability of the earth and the production of earthquakes

Verse 50:8 says:

Allah did this to give an insight from Him and a lesson so that you may learn from it; a reminder for every penitent servant, who turns to Allah and His obedience.

Verse 50:9 says:

And Allah sends down from the heaven blessed water, containing much blessing, with which Allah cause to grow gardens, orchards, and the grain that is harvested,
In other words, Allah sends down from the sky blessed water; rain blessed with vegetation and benefit from which all things derive life (whereby Allah gives growth unto gardens and the grain of crops; all kinds of grain that are harvested,

In verse 50:10, Allah describes the date-palms in three Arabic words (Pasekat, Tal, Nadid), the verse says:
And the date-palms that stand tall with piled spathes, one cluster of dates sitting on top of the other i.e. lofty date-palms with ranged clusters.
---------------

The Verses 50:1-5 in different English translations:

Verse 50:6

QARIB: what, have they never observed the heaven above them, (and seen) how we built and adorned it, leaving no crack?
SHAKIR: do they not then look up to heaven above them how we have made it and adorned it and it has no gaps?
PICKTHAL: have they not then observed the sky above them, how we have constructed it and beautified it, and how there are no rifts therein?
YUSUFALI: do they not look at the sky above them?- how we have made it and adorned it, and there are no flaws in it?

Verse 50:7

QARIB: we spread out the earth and set upon it firm mountains, and we cause every delightful thing to grow in it
SHAKIR: and the earth, we have made it plain and cast in it mountains and we have made to grow therein of all beautiful kinds,
PICKTHAL: and the earth have we spread out, and have flung firm hills therein, and have caused of every lovely kind to grow thereon,
YUSUFALI: and the earth- we have spread it out, and set thereon mountains standing firm, and produced therein every kind of beautiful growth (in pairs)-

Verse 50:8

QARIB: as a lesson and a reminder to every penitent worshiper.
SHAKIR: to give sight and as a reminder to every servant who turns frequently (to allah)
PICKTHAL: a vision and a reminder for every penitent slave.
YUSUFALI: to be observed and commemorated by every devotee turning (to allah).

Verse 50:9

QARIB: we sent down blessed water from the sky with which we caused gardens and the grains of harvest to grow,
SHAKIR: and we send down from the cloud water abounding in good, then we cause to grow thereby gardens and the grain that is reaped,
PICKTHAL: and we send down from the sky blessed water whereby we give growth unto gardens and the grain of crops,
YUSUFALI: and we send down from the sky rain charted with blessing, and we produce therewith gardens and grain for harvests;

Verse 50:10

QARIB: and tall palmtrees with compact spathes
SHAKIR: and the tall palm-trees having spadices closely set one above another,
PICKTHAL: and lofty date-palms with ranged clusters,
YUSUFALI: and tall (and stately) palm-trees, with shoots of fruit-stalks, piled one over another;-
