Dry fruits are known since old times to have great nutritional benefits attached to them. However, there is also a flip side to it. Dry fruits are usually covered or treated with additives and preservatives to have a longer shelf life. This acts against the nutrients that are present in them. The alternative to this is to switch to healthier options which provide the right nutrients and that is through the way of dried fruits and nuts which are completely organic in nature.
Dried fruits and nuts provide great nutrition to the body. Especially in those times where the body is stressed out physically and needs some instant nutrition, these snacks are the best way to provide it to the body. There are various types of dry fruits which provide different nutrients to the body. Soft dry fruits like apricots, raisins, dates and figs etc provide carbohydrates, fibre, vitamins, minerals, etc to the human body. The vitamin and mineral content may differ in various dried fruits and nuts but they are totally beneficial to the body. Also, nuts like walnuts, hazelnuts; almonds, etc are also rich in lipids and provide them to the body. Also, they are rich in fibre and minerals too like calcium, minerals, phosphorous, etc.
Nuts and dried fruits are available in numerous varieties to choose from. Cashew nuts, apricots, macadamia nuts, dried coconuts, desiccated coconuts, prunes, sultanas, raisins, muscatels, bananas, dates, almonds, etc. Also, within these dried fruits and nuts, there are options to choose from the style of the nuts too. They may be dried, roasted, deep roasted or mildly roasted, seeded, honey coated, roasted and salted, raw, etc. These can be chosen according to the taste that one has.
With organic dried fruits and nuts, it becomes really beneficial to consume such snacks. These are completely healthy, organic therefore harmless, have lots of nutrients packed in them and are the perfect food for the times when the body is stressed out.
