The Last verse in chapter (48) of the Old Testament talks about Jacob has given Joseph one portion above his brothers.
The Last verse in chapter (48) of the New Testament says that Jesus preached in the synagogues of Galilee.
The Last verse in chapter (48) of the Noble Quran says that Muhammad and his Companions are hard, tough and strong but they are dutiful and Merciful; The Mark of Muhammad and his Companions is a light on their faces in the Hereafter.
========

Old Testament:

Chapter 48 in the Old Testament is Genesis (48); it is composed of 22 verses.
The Last verse is that number 22
It says:

Genesis 48: 22 (King James Version)

22] Moreover I have given to thee one portion above thy brethren, which I took out of the hand of the Amorite with my sword and with my bow.

The verse is talking about Jacob has given Joseph one portion above his brothers. Jacob took that portion out of the hand of the Amorite; He took it with his sword and with his bow. Has Jacob used a sword and a bow to take the Amorite's land?
I really do not believe this story because:
1) Jacob was a Prophet; and it is not the deed and behavior of a Prophet to be unfair to his sons; by giving one of them more portion.
The Prophet Muhammad taught us to be fair and even to our kids; He said: "Make you kids equal even if you kiss them". This means be very fair to your kids even if you kiss them; i.e. do not kiss one of them twice and the other once in order not to make one of them jealous and feel bitter. This is the deed and behavior of the Prophets.
2) Jacob was scared from his brother; from where then he had got the courage to take the Amorite's land? This is in relation to what the Bible says about Jacob.
Nevertheless, every Muslim does respect the Prophet Jacob very much as the Noble Quran commands us.

New Testament

Chapter 48 in the New Testament is Luke 4; it is composed of 44 verses.
The Last verse is that number 44
It says:

Luke 4: 44 (King James Version)

44] And he preached in the synagogues of Galilee.

The verse says that Jesus preached in the synagogues of Galilee. In the verse before it (4:43) Jesus said: I must preach the kingdom of God to other cities also: for therefore am I sent. I wonder Who sent him to preach? Was He a Prophet as the Muslims believe?

The Noble Quran:

Chapter 48 in the Noble Quran is Chapter 48: AL-FATH (VICTORY); it is composed of 29 verses.
The Last verse is that number 29
It says:

MUHAMMAD 48: 29

Yusuf Ali Translation

Muhammad is the messenger of Allah; and those who are with him are strong against unbelievers, (but) compassionate amongst each other. thou wilt see them bow and prostrate themselves (in prayer), seeking grace from Allah and (his) good pleasure. on their faces are their marks, (being) the traces of their prostration. this is their similitude in the taurat (Torah); and their similitude in the gospel is: like a seed which sends forth its blade, then makes it strong; it then becomes thick, and it stands on its own stem, (filling) the sowers with wonder and delight. as a result, it fills the unbelievers with rage at them. Allah has promised those among them who believe and do righteous deeds forgiveness, and a great reward.

The meaning of the verse:

Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah and those who are with him, that is, his Companions from among the believers are hard, tough with the enemies of Allah, strong in the religion of Allah and a defender of Allah's Messenger, but they are dutiful towards the Muslims and merciful among themselves, that is to say, they show mutual sympathy and affection for one another, much like a father and a son. You see, you observe, them bowing, prostrating in worship. They seek bounty from Allah and beatitude. Their mark, their distinguishing feature, is on their faces; this is a light and a radiance by which, in the Hereafter, they will be recognized as having been those who used to prostrate in this world, from the effect of prostration. In other words, the mark of them is on their foreheads from the sign of their staying awake is on their faces from repeated prostration at night;
That, mentioned description, is their description in the Torah; and their description in the Gospel is as a plant that sends forth its shoot and strengthens it, nourishing it and assisting it, and it grows stout and rises firmly, becoming strong and upright, upon its stalk, its roots, delighting those who planted it, on account of its fairness. The Companions, may Allah be pleased with them, are being described in this way, for at the outset they were weak and very few in number; but then their number grew and they acquired strength in the most wholesome way, so that Allah may enrage the disbelievers by them, that is to say, ‘they are likened to this so that Allah may enrage the disbelievers’.
Allah has promised those who believe in Muhammad and the Quran and perform righteous deeds and do acts of obedience in private between themselves and their Lord, forgiveness of their sins in this world and in the Hereafter and immense reward; in the Garden, the Paradise.
