Using mannequins in your marketing is a good way to keep the customer experience fresh and interesting. There is nothing like a clever well thought out mannequin display to catch the attention of existing and potential new customers. Learn how to keep things up to date with these mannequin tips.
-Display your most sought after apparel in your front window. You want people to notice your best offerings immediately when passing or entering your store. Many store owners and managers choose to display their most expensive items here as well.
-Use mannequins to display items that may not look so great on the hanger, but look more flattering on. These types of items usually include billowy or flowing garments, form fitting dresses, dresses with empire or no waistline, swim wear and lingerie. By placing them on a mannequin, you are not only attracting attention to the garment, but showing how it would look on. This keeps your items from looking drab on the hanger. Crystalline mannequin torsos that hang on the end of the rack are also effective inexpensive tools for displaying odd or form fitting apparel.
-Use mannequins to sell your accessories. Mannequins are not only great for displaying clothing, but all of those accessories that might be overlooked in your store. Shoes, watches, sunglasses and handbags are just a few examples. Someone might be shopping for school clothes and realize how well the other items complete the outfit. Customers have been known to often buy all of the accessories that go with the outfit because they thought that the ensemble as a whole looked so good on display.
-Start a trend. Not only are you displaying outfits that you want to sell, but try to be unique. Combat boots with dresses or high heels with shorts are only two examples. It draws the eye and makes an impression in the brain of your customers. Even if they do not necessarily like the look for themselves, it leaves a lasting impression. This can give them the sense that clothing and accessories in your store are cutting edge or in fashion right now. If they like it and want to create the look for themselves, then you have in essence started a new trend that could spread, all by yourself.
-Keep it fresh. No one is interested in visiting a store over and over during the same season. It's the idea of seeing the same old thing every time that you enter a store. If you switch up your window displays, store fixtures and mannequin displays often, then your store will become more appealing. You may even grab some new attention throughout the season.
