When you are ready to stock a new retail store, you may be overwhelmed at the number of store displays and fixtures available on the market. We will give you some basic tips so that you can decide what will work best for your merchandise, budget and the space that you have to work with. Find a supplier that has favorable shipping rates, prices, a good history and a vast assortment of store displays and fixtures. Using one quality supplier will simplify your experience. It is also handy if you end up exchanging some of the items than you originally purchased. If the manufacturer is also the supplier, then you can get even better deals on quality merchandise.
– Make drawings of different configurations of your store. Try one with circular garment racks. Then try it with straight bar racks. If you need more space, consider slatwall or gridwall to maximize your store display ability. Once you figure out what would work best for you, check pricing, quality and expected life of each item. Gridwall and slatwall are great for displaying clothing face forward and give you a lot of display possibilities.
-Next, pick out items that will showcase your best merchandise. The mannequin is unsurpassed in effectiveness in the store display and marketing/merchandising industry. Mannequins can have a huge impact on how customers see your store. If you do not have room for a lot of full mannequins, consider crystalline mannequins. These are inexpensive alternatives to full size mannequins. They still beautifully display your garments, but they are extremely lightweight, come in a wide variety of colors, and they will allow you to switch up your store displays often. Keeping things changing and fresh is an important thing to consider when you are selecting your store displays.
-When you get down to small accessories and counter showcases, you have a few options. Gridwall can be configured in just about any shape you can imagine. Display cases can be acrylic, glass or metal, and the possibilities are just about endless. Gridwall is a great option for displaying small items near the register. Sunglasses, hats, jewelry and other impulse items can be easily displayed here. Gridwall configurations can easily be moved and are popular options to consider if you ever plan on having a sidewalk sale. Gridwall is also useful for filling in small spaces that may be too awkwardly shaped for conventional shelving.
Invest in stocking your store with high quality store displays with a high quality manufacturer and supplier. You will not regret it!
