With the events of the world as they are, it is not an uncommon occurrence for people to feel the effects of a panic or anxiety attack. Recent statistics show that as much as one in five adults will be stricken with one of these conditions.

Seeking help for panic attacks is important and can be helped along by knowing what caused the attack and when or where they occurred. Dispelling these attacks can be easier when the individual knows the symptoms and what caused it.

When we try and analyze what is causing our panic or anxiety attacks, the following symptoms will help in the process:

1) A sense of tightening in the chest
2) Abnormal or erratic breathing conditions
3) A sense of fear that is not common
4) An overwhelming feeling of multiple problems to a singular situation

Dealing with panic attacks can come in many forms and therapies. One of these things can be to change your focus to an event in your past that brought you pleasure. You can also concentrate on your breathing and learn to control it or slow it down. Finally, you can try to write down any distractions that you feel may have brought on the attack.

Argueably one of the best things you can do when desiring help for panic attacks is to change your mental focus to something positive. In a lot of cases this is hard to do, but changing the focus of your mind works very well. The power of your thoughts wield a cure in most of these situations.

With the constant turmoil around the world and even here at home with our economy, a growing number of individuals are experiencing panic and anxiety attacks. This is not surprising given our seemingly 'dire' situations. The point is, we don't have to feel helpless. In some cases, panic attacks can feel like a crushing force bearing down on the individual, but there is help for these attacks. If anything, be sure to disable the attack by turning the focus off the situation and onto something positive in your life or past.
