1. Tarton. The Highland look is back again with kilts/jackets/mini skirts and shirts are all out there and designed in many varities of tarton. For those with great legs kilts with a soft jumper look fabulous. Tarton shirts work well with jeans, as do fitted tarton jackets.
2 Military.
Military is such a fantastic trend with black/gold, black/silver, red/black jackets and coats being mainstream in all the stores. These are very easy to wear and will add drama to any outfit. Look out for braiding/epaulettes and gold, brass or silver buttons, also velvet fabrics used as contrast. This look works very well with high boots to give a Highwayman look.
3. Folk
This trend continues for another season. Tops are voluminous, paisley,or soft yoked, embroidary features strongly. These work well with fur gilets and high boots.
4. Colours
Red and purple are the two signature colours of the season. Also brights feature very strongly. Opaque tights are back again and work well with any colour you choose. Bright blue also features and works extremely well combined with black. For information on what colours and styles wll suit you consult a Style Consultant for Colour and Style Analysis.
5 Gothic and Lace
Black, very dramatic frock coats combined with see through lace were everywhere. Lace on its own is very feminine or can soften the masculine Gothic lines. Lace can be all encompassing or just used to create flair at the collar and cuffs.
5. Autumn tweeds
Returning to the Scottish theme, tweeds in soft autumnal hues will be found in the stores. These will suit those with muted warm colouring.
There is something for everyone whatever their shape or colouring this season. The quickest easiest way to update your look is to use a Personal Shopper who will take you only to those cuts and colurs that flatter you.
