What is Peugeot Leasing?

The Peugeot Leasing Open Europe program is an incentive set up by the French Government. French residents pay a high tax on a brand new car, tourists outside of the EU do not. So, the French Government have allowed their car companies to sell new cars to tourists (non EU residents) in the form of a lease, buy it back from them when their travels are complete then sell it off to a new owner for less. Everybody wins. As a traveller you get a brand new car for the period of your lease and the buyer gets a slightly older car for less money.

What's the difference between Leasing and Renting?

With Leasing, you get a brand new Peugeot car for the duration and you get to choose the exact model. There is a minimum lease period of 17 days and maximum lease of 175 days. The rate you pay for a Peugeot Lease is fully inclusive so there is no more to pay when you pick up the car. The minimum age for a Peugeot Lease is18, unlike standard car hire where it is normally 23. The main difference with a lease is that you essentially buy the car so you are the temporary owner for the lease period.

What's the benefits of Peugeot Leasing?

· You get a brand new Peugeot model.
· You choose your car.
· It’s tax free.
· It’s economical (see blog Save with a Peugeot Lease).
· Rates are fully inclusive.

Can anyone lease a Peugeot?

(Australia Only:)To qualify for a Lease you must be an Australian resident, reside outside of the EU and not work while you are in Europe – so no working holiday visas for example. You must not stay in Europe for more than 185 days in any 12 month period. You must also be at least 18 years old with a full license.
