When leading global suppliers of specialist furniture, SFBI, developed their revolutionary Triax range of desking systems, they needed help with a vital component. This new generation of office furniture combines aesthetics, flexibility and functionality - features which their exacting clients have come to expect. However just one element was proving difficult to source.

To complement the Triax's futuristic design, SBFI's requirement was for an adjustable levelling foot. But not just any specification. They needed a foot of a precise shape, colour and functionality to co-ordinate perfectly with their modular furniture. Enter Nu-tech engineering specialist levelling foot manufacturers.

Managing director of Nutech Chris Baker said. "We were made familiar with the high quality of the Triax range and worked closely with SBFI to produce a clear set of requirements. For instance, the new foot had to be lightweight but able to take the load conditions. It also needed to be able to glide - and should have a metallic silver finish."

Nu-tech's pre-existing A040 range was the basis for the new bespoke foot. Adaptations were made to this successful stock item in order that fulfilment of the rigorous specification was achieved.

Adrian Gould, Design Director with SBFI, comments "Nu-Tech listened to what we had to say and worked hard to provide the solution we now have. With office furniture designed and installed in 50 countries across the globe, we cannot compromise on quality and service - and we expect the same of our suppliers. Nu-Tech lived up to our expectations."

SBFI have offices in London, Hong Kong, New York and Frankfurt, supported by showrooms and representatives around the world. Their flexible, modular systems are favoured by financial institutions, command & control, data centres, network management, operation centres, bridge rooms and air traffic control rooms.
