Companies of every size eventually encounter poster printing as part of an advertising and marketing campaign. Posters are an excellent way to expose audiences to products and services that other mediums simply do not reach. When it is time for your company to begin thinking about poster printing, ask yourself these four all important questions:

• Who is our audience? This is definitely the most important question you could ask yourself. The answer to this question will help you in designing, placing, and printing your posters.

• How many posters do we need? The answer to this question will help you decide whether or not you should use digital printing or offset printing. Digital printing is an excellent way to economically produce short runs of posters with excellent quality. But if you need 1000+ copies, consider offset printing as this can save you considerable money and still produce great looking posters.

• Where will we be displaying our posters? If you’re going to be putting your posters outside then you need to use thicker paper with a glossy finish to protect it from the elements and to make sure that the posters will last longer. But if your posters will stay inside then the thicker paper and higher gloss may not be nearly as important.

• How big should our posters be? This question ultimately will connect directly with your budget. If you really need thousands of posters that do not have a large budget, then you will probably have to print smaller posters. But if you have a small audience and do not need a great deal of posters, but are still on a tight budget, you can probably still get away with larger posters.
