Freelancing sites are a great place where people from all around the world can make thousands of dollars each month. Many people are working at these sites as a full time job. 99% of freelance sites use the arbitration system.
Incase you don't know what arbitration at freelance sites is; then I suggest you read my previous post about arbitration. Buyers from all around the world come to freelance sites and post new jobs. Buyers who had a little experience in working at freelancing sites post jobs with full details. They know how to deal with service providers.
On the other hand, many new buyers make a very common mistake of not providing full or enough details in the job description. This, in many cases, leads the project to end up in arbitration. Buyers need to describe all the job details in the project description.
Before you post any projects, first write down all the main points about the job requirement. Think about all the requirements for the job. When you are sure that you have written all requirements, only then open a project.
Incase, you think of a new requirement after the project is opened, even then you can edit the project description. But once you award the project to a service provider, after that, I suggest you don't expect the service provider to do any extra work. That is, any work other than the work that you mentioned in the project description.
Many buyers ask service providers to do some extra work in the same budget, most of the time, the service providers refuse to do extra work and enter the project in arbitration. Incase you need the person to do some extra work, then my advice is to first contact him and offer him some extra cash for the extra work. In this way, you will avoid a possible arbitration.
