Posters are an item of great use and joy. They are essentially in the form of a large sheet of paper, usually in rectangular or square shape that can be hung on a wall or a door.
Posters mostly contain a work of art, a picture or represent utter humour trying to prove a point or are explaining an issue. Posters are also used around the world for various purposes apart from decorating. As posters even express slogans and viewpoints they can can be used as a portal of mass expression.
Mostly, posters have in them substance and create a world of ideas around you because they are creative, innovative and fun. You'll find posters in a large variety and on different subject matters. What I am going to talk about here is Transport Posters. Transport posters are essentially posters that contain images of the various ways and means which we use to travel or how our earlier generations used to travel. They are photographic prints that contain images of vehicles, such as ships, boats, cars, airplanes, trucks, caravans, buses, bicycles and motorcycles.
What do we need transport posters for? Well, young people, usually teenagers like to have posters of their favourite cars, bikes etc. stuck and frames on the wall of their bedrooms. These cars usually are stylish, flamboyant and expensive and are known as dream cars or dream machines. These cars include the Mercedes Benz, BMW, Rolce Royce, Jaguar etc. I remember when I was young I had posters in my bedroom of the Ferrari and the Porsche. They were my dream cars. Having images of transport on your Bedroom wall usually reflects peoples' personality types and shows what kind of transport they envisage for themselves in the future. Transport posters of buses, scooters, cycles may be of essential use in the country's transport department who need to educate the general public of the kind of transport that we uses, for road safely and precaution.
Many people often like to get sentimental and nostalgic and you'll see they have posters of old ships with legends attached to them in their bedrooms or drawing rooms such as the Titanic or the Olympic. All in all, transport being such a basic necessity in everyday life, its imprinting on posters is an idea that can not be excluded.
