Leaving a branded image in a competitive business is no longer hard to achieve, as long as you know what to do and what materials to use. A simpler form of marketing your business is through the utilization of print materials. And one of the most economical and affordable way of marketing your business are - brochures.
Brochures are very important marketing materials that can help you in your business needs. However, designing brochure printing is hard to do. Many brochures being handed out today are badly designed. Customers rarely pay any attention to badly made brochures so it is important that you have quality designing brochure printing services at your disposal. For starters, here are some of designing tips that you can apply in your strategies:
1. What is your brochure’s function?
To make effective designing brochure printing materials, you need to know the function of your brochures. Knowing how your brochures will be used will make for a better decision when it comes to planning your brochure design. Here are the more common functions of brochures:
• Leave-Behinds – exactly as the name implies, these are the brochures that you leave behind after speaking with a client or after making a sales pitch.
• Point-of-sale – these are the brochures that are often left in stacks at public places. These are brochures that you pick up when in crowded places.
• Respond to Inquiry brochures – these are brochures that you give to customers that are inquiring about a certain product or service. these brochures contain more text than regular brochures.
• Direct Mail – these are the brochures that you send out via mail to specific customers. Direct mail brochures create a more personal feel and connection with your target audience.
2. Decide if you want your brochure to be stand alone or as supplements
You should also decide if you want to use your brochures as the end all and be all of your marketing strategy or if you are using it as a mere supplement your other marketing materials. By doing so, you can have a clearer vision on how your prints can be done and what designs are the most fitting for your purpose.
3. Focus on a specific target
The more specific your target audience is, the easier it is to design and create an effective marketing strategy. The more you can focus, the easier it is pique the target audience’s interest.
4. Organize your points
Treat your brochures the same way that you treat news stories. Star with an attention grabbing headline in order to attract reader’s interest. Once this is accomplished, your text should be readable enough that your target audience will not be able to notice that he or she has already read through the whole thing.
Headlines and bullets should be able to guide your readers through different points smoothly. Also, remember to limit the use of italics and underline in your brochures. Improper usage of underline and italics will expose that you are a starting brochure designer.
5. Be honest
And before claiming anything that is innovative and new, you must be able to back up you claim and prove that all that you are saying is not just a scam. One mistake will affect your company image in just a short while. And even if you can get out of this jam, your integrity will always be questioned.
