If you decide to open up a take away restaurant then the items of food that you serve are vital to the business doing well. You must ensure that you have high quality, fast servicing food to keep your customers happy. It stands to reason that people can not visit your fast food place if they do not know about it, so advertising is very important. Many companies choose to do this through menu distributing – Making sure that as many people in the local target area are aware of your products and want to place an order. There are 100s of companies that will help you with designing your menu.
Of course once you have your customers it is essential that you keep them. Don’t forget many people who come to your take away place may just be passing and not knowing exactly where you, or remember! To solve this problem lots of companies have take out leaflets on their counters. This means that people who are in the restaurant will pick them up and take them home. So next time they fancy a take away it might just be your menu they pick up and order from, or they could pass it on to a friend and help increase your customer base even further.
If for any reason your customer has a bad impression of your company then this is often hard to erase from memory, so it is important that any impression you do give a customer is a good one!
Even before your customer has walked through the door they are deciding if they like you or not and much of this boils down to the menu. You must make sure that everything from your menu screams “Love me”; it is a good idea to get a professional design company in for some advice on colour schemes and fonts to use.
When it comes to your menu of course colours and fonts are important, but the actual lay out of the menu is just as vital. You should make sure for example that the menu includes all the prices of your food, and that these are accurate. The types of food you offer (for example chicken, pork, beef, lamb) should also be split into their own areas of the menu to make it easier for the person reading the menu and picking their food. This way your customer will not waste their valuable time looking through the menu which means that will have a good impression of your company.
