The best American female tennis players the Williams’ sisters are without a question making an incredible presentation at the All-English Lawn during the Wimbledon tournament. The four-time Wimbledon winner Venus Williams has just defeated Thailand's Tamarine Tanasugarn 6-4, 6-3 while little sister and two-time championship Serena overcame Polish number one player Agnieszka Radwanska 6-4, 6-0.

As unbelievable as it may sound this will be third time the Williams sisters will be together against each other for a final at Wimbledon. Serena leads two to zero as she won them both in 2002 and 2003 and for this possible third time it is very likely they will meet again at Center Court on Saturday July 5th.

"That would be amazing if we both were in the final," seventh-seeded Venus said. "I have to take it one more step and keep playing power tennis. We want to deserve to be there. We have to play the best tennis to deserve it, so our aim is just to play better than our opponents and really deserve to be there."

Elena Dementieva will be Venus’ next opponent; for Dementieva this becomes her first Wimbledon semifinal after beating fellow Russian player Nadia Petrova 6-1, 6-7 (6), 6-3 a real thriller game which ended to Dementieva’s favor.

Meantime; Zheng Jie who has become Wimbledon’s new revelation will be Serena’s opponent. Jie is the first Chinese player to ever reach a Grand Slam semifinal and the first wild-card entrant get this far after she beat Nicole Vaidisova 6-2, 5-7, 6-1. Her current rank is 133rd in the world chart and believe me nobody expected much of her until she stunned Ana Ivanovic in the third round.

Certainly, both Williams are favorite to win this Grand Slam as they both have been very consistent during the entire tournament; neither has lost one set on each of the matches and with their powerful tennis and serves they are better than any other player in the tournament.

"I think my key has been the serve in this tournament," Venus said. "Any time I'm down break-point, double break or something like that, my serve gets me out of it."

Before reaching the semifinal Venus struggled against Tanasugarn who is also the first Thai player to ever reach a Grand Slam quarter final. Venus’ key game was the sixth one of the first set, when she saved six break points.

On the other hand; sister Serena had a much easier match against Radwanska, a former Wimbledon Junior champion. During only 51 minutes Serena had 11 aces, broke five times and completed her match on Centre Court.

The top seeded players world number one Ana Ivanovic and world number two Maria Sharapova were eliminated earlier than expected and the throughout the week neither of the top four seeded women reached the quarterfinals; a real new fact as it is the first time something similar happens at Wimbledon besides being the first time at any Grand Slam tournament in the Open-era 40-year history. This will certainly help the Williams sisters to get to the final game – a real sister-act if you ask me.
