It has been found that people, from different cultures, races, places and even genders and ages, have similar sort of psychic abilities. To identify people who demonstrate psychic abilities and to understand these abilities psychic power tests have been devised. The four main groups of psychic talents are clairvoyance, telepathy, precognition and psychokinesis.

There are different psychic power tests for these four sets.

When someone distinguishes information without using the 5 familiar senses, this person is considered a clairvoyant. People have such abilities are known as psychic bloodhounds. The U.S. government conducted the longest and largest clairvoyance psychic power test that ended in 1995.The participants of this test were asked to tell about an event happening at the same time in another place. They were also asked to recognize objects or places without any earlier knowledge of them or even without contacting other persons who had knowledge. It was found that the success rate was higher than expectations but the critics didn’t admit it and put forth that in any such psychic power tests information might be transferred unintentionally, they cited about a scientific theory known as Observer Effect.

When a person has the ability to experience or tell the thoughts of another person, this person belongs to the group of telepathy and known as telepathist. Telepathy is the most common and most widely talked about psychic phenomena and many tests have been developed to verify its preciseness. Some degree of telepathy is displayed by a large number of people and most of these people are not even aware that they can do it. There are many such games as test a person’s ability to read other’s thoughts.
