I can’t think of a finer tool for increasing store traffic and generating consumer interest than poster based advertising. Unfortunately, many people shy away from marketing with posters because they don’t understand how to implement them effectively. If you need a quick sales boost, but are leery of making a strategic blunder, don’t worry. There are a few simple things to keep in mind that can help you design and deploy a winning poster campaign.

The Reason - Poster advertising, by its very nature, is direct and focused. Likewise, your reason for advertising should be just as direct and purposeful. You have limited space on your poster and most of that is going to be taken up with your headline and your image. To get the biggest impact you should limit yourself to a single marketing push. The Time - Posters work best in short bursts and limited time frames. This ties in with the need to be direct. Let’s say you’ve got a seasonal sale coming up and you want to create more awareness with posters. Instead of putting up the posters months in advance, wait until you are a few weeks away from the sales start so that you’re posters aren’t stale before the sale is even underway.

The Audience: The key thing you need to focus on is who you want your advertising to appeal to? Your answer will help you make sure that your message is reaching the right people. If you are only using one poster design you need to focus more attention on your demographic. Posters are inexpensive, though, and this affords you the luxury of customer poster printing that will let you reach multiple demographics with different poster styles that each has a unique appeal.

Poster marketing is uniquely suited for gaining a quick boost in sales and consumer awareness.
