A guide to life
Human beings are mortal, that we all know. So are the rest of living beings on this earth. What we do not know is who are we, what are we, why are we mortal and here, where do we go from here, and how do we get immortal? For this is where knowledge lies. Since the doors of our soul are closed and we always try to neglect the voice coming from behind the closed doors. Our mind rules, it being a potent force and a permanent one. We express our disbelief in spirits and yet fear darkness anticipating ‘something’ in the air. Modern genre does not believe in rebirth but has no answer to why. In brief, we are fools for we do not seem to have an answer to the very basic questions of life. We study hard; spend a lot of intellectual fluid to race ahead of others. Why? Just because we wannabe best. We are full of jealousy. Showy, egoistic etc. We work hard to satisfy our senses- smell, sensation, sex, vision, taste and melody. Anyone who does that for himself and others is lauded. Some are even called ‘God”. We Indians boast of being the richest culture across the globe. Parents in our country teach their children from day one how to do well in life by satisfying their senses. Every time, everywhere. Actually, we tend to forget that all men are equal. Even our constitution states that. So what’s the difference between the rich and the poor? Every person lives and dies one day. In brief, rest is garbage.
My words can sting but they are not an offshoot from my mind. Professional success to me is not as important as personal success. It is infact just a part of it. We need to hold our fluctuating mind and concentrate on our goal. This process is possible only if we control the increasing intensity of our senses which are an outcome of the mind and seriously disturb our concentration, health and intellectual power.
