Did you know that Pigeon Forge, Tennessee was established back in 1830? You will be thrown right back into that time as you visit the historical sites of The Old Mill Square in Pigeon Forge. As you walk through The Old Mill Square you will want to tour the water-powered grist mill that continues to work since the early 1800’s. The Old Mill is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and is one of the most photographed historical sites in country.

Not only will you visit The Old Mill in Old Mill Square, but you can dine at two of the finest restaurants in Pigeon Forge: the Old Mill Restaurant and the Pottery House Café’. The Old Mill Restaurant has your favorite family-style meals including their famous “Cornmeal Chowder.” But that's not all the authentic southern cuisine you'll find. Country-fried steak with milk gravy, creamy chicken and dumplings and slow-cooked pot roast are just for starters. Each is accompanied with scratch-made biscuits or corn fritters. Are you hungry yet?

If that doesn’t whet the appetite then you will have to go across the street to The Old Mill
Pottery House Café & Grille. Fine dining in a picturesque setting brings you luscious, hand-cut steaks and locally caught rainbow trout as well as creative salads, delicious sandwiches and - of course - homemade whole-grain breads from the mill. Indulge in pies or cakes at both restaurants or walk across the street for ice cream.

The Old Mill Creamery is far from store-bought ice cream. We’re talking homemade and hand-scooped in all your favorite flavors including pumpkin pie, homemade blackberry and fresh peach. It's cool, fun and oh so good!

Once you have had all the food and ice cream your heart can desire in the restaurants then you will need to walk two doors down to the Old Fashion Candy Store! The Old Mill Candy Kitchen has rich fudge, hand-pulled taffy, chocolate-dipped raisins and those delicious, crunchy malted milk balls!

But there's more to do than just eat at The Old Mill. Shop for many of the mixes and dressings you've eaten in the restaurants. Take them home a create your own country breakfast, lunch or dinner anytime when you visit The Old Mill Kitchen or the other on-site shops.

The Old Mill Square is precisely the place you will remember for a long time as you step back in time to the 1800’s. You and your family will want to plan to spend the afternoon shopping at over 9 unique specialty shops with gift baskets made for those who couldn’t make the trip! These shops include: The Old Mill Restaurant, The General Store, Pigeon River Pottery, The Pottery House Cafe, The Creamery, The Candy Kitchen, The Toy Bin, Farmhouse Kitchen and The Potting Shed.

The Old Mill Square is located at traffic light # 7 in Pigeon Forge! Just look for The Old Mill to your left.
