Two techniques are employed to knit the Orenburg Shawls:
- the first one uses classical needles, which gives already very good results,
- the second one uses a kind of "Forks", which allows to get wider stitches and a more esthetic freedom in realization.

Thanks to the "Fork's method", the specialized workers get the "Spider web" aspect, which besides improving the esthetics and the filling, keeps a very good insulating capacity.

The Orenburg Shawls are reputed for their swelling, and their lightness.
These qualities are highlighted by the well-known test which consists in getting them in the hole of a wedding ring, which is amazing, at first.

The first time, it is surprising, because it seems impossible (or very risky).
But no, it get through, without problem, and this anecdotal performance illustrates perfectly all these shawls qualities.

To still improve their aspect (if it is possible) and their softness, the Orenburg Shawls are blended with a good silk proportion, which gives them a brilliance and a really luxurious aspect.
