Yisrael Makov Elected President of Friends of Schneider Children’s

                                                                                         

Yisrael Makov was elected President of the Association of Friends of Schneider Children’s at the Board of Directors meeting of the organization that took place this week.

Mr. Makov is the Chairman of Given Imaging and
a consultant to the Managing Council of Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. – where he served as President and Managing Director until 2007.
His tenure at Teva was most significant to the global growth of the company.
Under his leadership, the company became a leader in the generic pharmaceutical industry, sales quadrupled and net profits rose six-fold. Makov has a BA in Agriculture and an MA in Economics from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.
Friends of Schneider Children's is comprised solely of volunteers - some of whom have been active since its inception - from the business, public and social communities. Yisrael Makov serves as its President, and Dr. Aviva Ron as the Chair of the Executive Committee. Contributions are directed to support the needs of the hospital as approved by Schneider Children's administration and the association.
