Values in The Family Before Civilization Begins
Today, people perceive traditions and culture that are not yet ethical in a society as perilous and uncomfortable actions. Theories may be in prejudice in a society where law and regulations exists. However, society today is an era of the product of scholars who lived many centuries ago.
Cultures differ from different places. What is considered under the law in one society may be an action of violation of law on another society. While it may be a law violation in some instance to a society where a woman marries his own cousin or own child, but in other society, it may be a noble thing to marry son or daughter, brother to a sister or vise versa.
In some cultures, incest taboos are based from a society’s culture, where wealth and family preservation are important. In some society, a Sister-brother intercourse during adulthood will stop intermarriage between families or tribes. This is one way of reducing their dependency to other clans. It is also one way of preserving their richness in each family.
Mother-son or Father-daughter sexual intercourse are encourage to other cultures for the sole purpose of preserving their family ties. A whole tribe or clan is just composing of only one head, which is considered the father.
