The 2008 EX35 is a 4 door, 5 passenger luxury sport-utility, available in 4 trims, ranging from the RWD to the Journey AWD. It debuted in North America and was revealed for production on August 16, 2007 at the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance. It uses the FM platform same as with Infiniti’s G35 and FX35 but it is obviously smaller but sportier.
“The RWD trim is equipped with a standard 3.5 liter, V6, 297 horsepower engine that achieves 17 mpg in the city and 24 mpg on the highway. The Journey AWD is equipped with a standard 3.5 liter, V6, 297 horsepower engine that achieves 16 mpg in the city and 23 mpg on the highway. A 5 speed automatic transmission with overdrive is standard on both trims.” It offers powerful car parts and performance that even car enthusiast can’t give any negative comment. Many reviewers assess’ it as one of the most powerful in its class.
Reviewers consistently describe it as sleek and handsome from the outside view. It is even sleeker than other models of the same platform.
Exterior highlights include a double-arch grille, large L-shaped headlights with available Bi-Xenon Adaptive Front lighting System (AFS), integrated fog lights, distinctive LED taillights and dynamic arch profile.
Infiniti EX uses Nissan’s new “fluid flush” technology which is a unique coat of paint finish that uses a highly elastic resin that absorbs fine scratches such as fingernail scratches. This process can take from one day to one week. This technology is tested in Japan on the X-Trail crossover but have been used in EX for the first time in America.
The 2008 Infiniti EX35 interior is a winner in terms of luxury and quality. Most of its seats are comfortable including the drivers’ seat. Driving position is excellent, thanks to a tilt/telescoping wheel and good sight lines but rear seats are a little small for most adults.
It has the automaker's signature "double wave" instrument panel, with high-contrast gauges, white-and-violet illumination and a pin LED light over the center console. This feature is truly pleasing to everyone’s eyes.
For easy parking, it features Infiniti latest technology which is the “Around View Monitor” to give the driver a bird's-eye view of the vehicle's exterior while parking. Other technology systems include available Bluetooth® Hands-Free Phone System and standard Infiniti Intelligent Key with Push Button Ignition plus a rear-seat DVD player, navigation system with real-time traffic alerts.
