Each of the diamonds is suppose to represent a slightly different element of the relationship. The first represents the past and all the memories (hopefully good ones!) that surround the relationship, the second represents the present i.e. making sure that one another are happy at all times, and the third represents the future. Some say the third ring should be a reflection of the wedding vows couples say to one another as they are committing their lives to one another during their wedding ceremony.

Although the three diamond ring comes with three diamonds within it, it is very rare that all the stones are different. Usually, one type of stone is chosen and then all three diamonds are the same. Some of the most popular stones include ruby, sapphire and emerald and white gold is also very common. Many of the leading high street stores sell these and other styles too making the three diamond ring extremely popular.

Another reason why the three diamond ring is very popular is because it is very common amongst celebrities. Most of the leading female celebrity actresses take pride in wearing some of the most exclusive diamond rings about. And this is no exception for both Madonna and Sharon Stone, the former was given an Edwardian style threestone diamond ring from Guy Ritchie and the latter was given a three diamond engagement ring by Phil Bronstein.

Choosing the right diamond ring however, is far from simple. However, the three diamond ring is certainly very unique in style and has a rather trendy and fashionable look. There are guides available but generally it comes down to personal taste.
