Having Children Later In Life

                                                                                         

I am 36 year old mom of a 2 year old little boy, not exactly a young mother. Now don't get me wrong I am not saying I am an old hag or anything. Most people say I do not look my age, I get that from my mom. lol It's true most people think we are sisters always have, my mom LOVES IT !!!!

Anyway I do not think it is a bad thing to wait in life if that is what you want & it works for you. My mom had my one brother at 42. Okay for me personally that's pushing it. You do however hear of some actresses even waiting later in life to be first time moms.

The truth of it is I didn't actually plan to have Logan at 34, we tried much much sooner than that actually. NOTHING no matter what we tried or did or didn't do for 6 years.

My husband & I finally had to come to the realization that something was wrong with one or both of us. Let me tell you, not an easy thing to think about or have to deal with.

My husband said one day, lets just make appointments & go to the doctor & see what in the world is going on. I said yes but do we really want to know. lol Well I wasn't sure I wanted to be told that I could never have children or something like that.

Well a couple of weeks before we were going to go in for check ups, guess what, Yep I was pregnant. WOW & in total shock I was. I took two different test & still had the doctors office give me one of their pregnacy test before I would allow my hopes to soar.

To this day we do not understand why or what took so long to have Logan. We are very proud & greatful parents of a very healthy boy.
