Healthy No Pork Barbeque Sandwich And Sausage Tips

If many are like me. As a child they were raised on a lot of pork products. My dad was a hog farmer and had a pig pickin as we call it down south every year.

Both my mom and my dad had health issues with their heart. The Dr. would always say stay away from or limit your intake of pork.

I always questioned why pork was so bad. Then as I began to study God’s word I realized that God told us in His word to not eat the swine or fat. That it was unclean for us, as noted in Leviticus Chapter 11. I also found out that swine / pigs have no sweat glands. So all the poison they intake we intake also when we eat pork.

This lead me to searching for alternatives for barbeque pork sandwiches with slaw. One of my favorites. Also how to make porkless sausage as I love sausage and egg in a biscuit. I saw my parents very sick with heart problems and that with my newly learned information on pork made me really want to improve my eating. I wanted the taste of pork without the health problems that came with eating pork.

Below are two tips that I and my husband use to satisfy our taste for pork without ever eating any pork.

Tip 1- We take and boil or bake our chicken. Then we take the skin off and chop it up (can use boneless skinless chicken breast). Then we season it with Scotts Barbeque Sauce. Then we place this and slaw (home made or from a restaurant) on a hamburger bun. We love it. Taste just like the real thing to us. Have shared it with others also who think it is very good.

Tip 2- We take ground turkey or ground beef and season it like people use to season pork to make sausage. Cook and eat. Taste as good as the real thing. I feel it is all in the seasonings.

Also you can buy beef sausage, beef hotdogs etc. now. Which we do also.
