1. Before you engage into creating a new presentation ask yourself some questions. Why are you going to make this presentation at all? What is your main goal? What idea are you trying to pass on?
2. Any presentation or advertisement must be strictly oriented on the particular audience. Identify your future listeners, their needs, interests, requirements.
3. Keep balance between content and performance. A great material is nothing without good performance, but you need to get people exactly what they want to satisfy your audience.
4. Make a sound and clear structure. Remember – your thoughts may not always be clear to other people, make them lucid. At the same time keep it simple and vivid.
6. Make a plan. It is useful to make outlines on paper before entering PowerPoint.
7. Always try to put yourself on the place of your audience. Keep in mind the point of every your saying. While making a presentation time and attention are too vital to waste them.
8. Use example to explain complicated ideas. Telling stories from your personal experience will make you closer to the audience and will make them trust you more.
9. There is a great test for practicing in making presentations. Imagine that you have an excellent idea, but no connections. You managed to get into the elevator with the CEO of the company you want to sell you idea to. So you have only 30 seconds to present your idea and to convince the audience of one man. How would you do it?
10. The key word for success is CONFIDENCE.
