If you like to help people and make money at the same time, become a Herbalist. There is no certification needed to prevent you from entering the practice, your ability to help people is all that counts. If you are not already familiar with herbal remedies there is still time to learn. There are many books written that speak about different herbs and their healing powers. Read and understand them fully, it will be the foundation of your new business. When you are done, you will be ready to help and heal people.

Healing plants are being used by more people today than ever before. Why would anybody use healing plants instead of medicine? It is because they work. Medications just treat symptoms, healing plants work on relieving the cause of the disease. From the earliest times plants have been used to treat human diseases. Even today a large number of plants are used in pharmacies to prepare home remedies or prescription medicines. Animals have instinctive knowledge about using plants for healing. Observing animals healing themselves with plants has led to the discovery of some of the most potent healing powers in herbs.

A talented Herbalist doesn’t just dispense herbs without being sure that it will help their patient. They must spend hours observing and speaking with the person to discover which herb will be most beneficial to them. When you do help that person they will spread the word how knowledgeable you are and others will seek your help. Soon you will have more work than you can handle and will have to raise your fees. But if you have not done your homework and do not understand your patient or their herbal needs you will soon be out of business. Only people that are helped will return and recommend you to others.

The best and least expensive way to startup your business as a Herbalist is having your office at home. People that need help will not mind if they have to sit at your kitchen table. Find the best and most affordable way of letting people know that you are available. Start off with a small ad in your local newspaper, and get a cell phone so you can always be available to setup appointments. The rest will depend on the knowledge you have about herbs and their healing powers. If you can help people with their problems you are sure to be successful.
