Ernakulam, one of the finest harbors of the world is also the commercial capital of Kerala. Ernakulam or Kochi has a remarkable position in the history of Kerala.

Ernakulam offers a wide variety of tourism facilities. Many historians have laid mark in this renowned city of Kerala. Bolghatty palace, Dutch palace, St. Francis Church, Bastion Bungalow and the Jewish Synagogue are the monuments of the past. The Hill Palace Museum was the official residence of Kochi Royal family. Above all, the major attractions of Ernakulam are St. Angelo’s Fort and Arakkal Palace. It will be a thrilling experience for you to make a trip along the backwaters of Kochi and a visit to the nearby island. Willingdon Island is another major attraction of this place. Nedumbassery international airport shows the innovations and developments of Ernakulam. The hill palace museum, the Dutch palace, Kanjiramattom mosque etc are other interesting old structures of the center. Edapally Feast, Malayattoor Perunnal, Jewish festival, Kanjiramattom festival, Kodungalloor Bharani, etc are the major religious celebrations of Ernakulam. On the last week of every year, a grand celebration, Cochin Carnival is celebrated by the whole of Ernakulam. August to March is the best time to visit this center.

By Road: Roads of Ernakulam are well connected to all major cities of Kerala and India

Frequency of ferry services are there from Ernakulam to Vypeen, Mattanchery, Varapuzha and Wellingdon Islands.
