Comparative Study between the Bible and the Quran (44) - C: The third part (I)
(Chapter 44:6-10)

The Old Testament Verses from 1-10 are talking about Joseph said unto his brethren, I am your brother, whom you sold into Egypt.
The New Testament Verses from 1-10 are talking about Luke began his book with the story of Zacharias the priest and his wife Elisabeth.
The Noble Quran Verses from 6-10 are talking about the Quran is the true book of the Lord. And Allah asks: will they believe if they do not believe in this Quran? Woe (severe punishment) to every sinful liar who is too proud to have faith

The Noble Quran:

Chapter 45 in the Noble Quran is composed of 37 verses.
Verses from 6-10 are talking about the Quran is the true book of the Lord. And Allah asks: will they believe if they do not believe in this Quran? Woe (severe punishment) to every sinful liar who is too proud to have faith; the Quran is giving him tidings of a painful doom in the Eternal Hell
---------------

The meanings of verses 45:6-10

Verse 45:6 says:
These, mentioned signs, are the signs of God, the proofs of His that indicate His Oneness, which We recite, relate, to you with truth.
These are the portents of Allah which recite unto you O Muhammad; the Angel Gabriel brought them down to you with truth in order to show you what is right and what is wrong.
So in what kind of discourse then, after God, that is to say, after His discourse, namely, the Quran, and His signs, His definitive arguments, will the disbelievers believe?
It is also said this means: and of His marvels, will they believe if they do not believe in this Quran?
In other words: they will not believe in anything you believe.

Verse 45:7 says:
Woe to every sinful liar,
Woe means severe punishment.

Verse 45:8 says:
Woe to every sinful liar, who hears the signs of God, the Quran, being recited to him explaining the commands and prohibitions, then persists, in his disbelief, arrogantly, disdainful of faith, he is too proud to believe in Muhammad and the Quran as if he had not heard them and he did not understand them.
So give him O Muhammad tidings of a painful chastisement, a painful doom.

Verse 45:9 says:
And should he come to know anything of the verses of the Quran, he takes them in mockery. For such, liars there is a degrading chastisement, there is a shameful doom) there is a severe torment.

Verse 45:10 says:
Beyond them there is an Eternal Hell waiting for them
Ahead of them, after they die, there is great Hell, and that which they have earned, and that which they have amassed of wealth and that which they have committed of transgressions will naught avail them from Allah's punishment, nor those whom they have chosen for protecting friends beside Allah, nor those whom they worshipped as deities beside Allah will avail them.
Theirs will be an awful doom, will be a great chastisement.

The Verses 6-10 (in different translations):

Verse 45:6

QARIB: such are the verses of Allah. we recite them to you in truth. so in what speech, after Allah and his signs, will they believe?
SHAKIR: these are the communications of Allah which we recite to you with truth; then in what announcement would they believe after Allah and his communications?
PICKTHAL: these are the portents of Allah which we recite unto thee (Muhammad) with truth. Then in what fact, after Allah and his portents, will they believe?
YUSUFALI: such are the signs of Allah, which we rehearse to thee in truth; then in what exposition will they believe after (rejecting) Allah and his signs?

Verse 45:7

QARIB: woe to all the guilty impostors!
SHAKIR: woe to every sinful liar,
PICKTHAL: woe unto each sinful liar,
YUSUFALI: woe to each sinful dealer in falsehoods:

Verse 45:8

QARIB: he hears the verses of Allah recited to him and then, as though he never heard them, persists in insolence. give to him the glad tidings of a painful punishment.
SHAKIR: who hears the communications of Allah recited to him, then persists proudly as though he had not heard them; so announce to him a painful punishment
PICKTHAL: who heareth the revelations of Allah recited unto him, and then continueth in pride as though he heard them not. give him tidings of a painful doom.
YUSUFALI: he hears the signs of Allah rehearsed to him, yet is obstinate and lofty, as if he had not heard them: then announce to him a penalty grievous!

Verse 45:9

QARIB: as for he who knows something of our verses and then mocks them for those there is a humiliating punishment.
SHAKIR: and when he comes to know of any of our communications, he takes it for a jest; these it is that shall have abasing chastisement
PICKTHAL: and when he knoweth aught of our revelations he maketh it a jest. for such there is a shameful doom.
YUSUFALI: and when he learns something of our signs, he takes them in jest: for such there will be a humiliating penalty.

Verse 45:10

QARIB: gehenna (hell) is behind them, all that they have earned shall not help them at all, nor shall those they took as guardians, other than Allah. for them there is a mighty punishment.
SHAKIR: before them is hell, and there shall not avail them aught of what they earned, nor those whom they took for guardians besides Allah, and they shall have a grievous punishment
PICKTHAL: beyond them there is hell, and that which they have earned will naught avail them, nor those whom they have chosen for protecting friends beside Allah. Theirs will be an awful doom.
YUSUFALI: in front of them is hell: and of no profit to them is anything they may have earned, nor any protectors they may have taken to themselves besides Allah: for them is a tremendous penalty.
