Your face might get noticed first but your hands get the maximum exposure. Besides harsh sun and chaffing winds they are in direct contact with drying elements like detergents, hot water etc. the result: hands look years older than the rest of you.

Taking control of total beauty care does not solely rest on the face. Beauty care is taking care of your body, face, hands and feet. Sometimes when we set up beauty regimens we neglect the hands but aside from the face, your hands are the most seen part of the body. You use your hands everyday and with everyday tasks so why not take care of them. We can offer you some tips on what to do to keep your hands silky smooth all year around.

Personal grooming includes aspects like face and body care, hair care, skin care, sun care and much more. But the one thing that often is neglected is caring for your nails and hands.

Your hands reach out to people and so are very much noticed by others. And let me tell you only well maintained hands are reached out to. So now tell me, will the beautiful young lady at the opposite table reach out to you? Perhaps no. But implementing a regular hand and nail care regime will help make the best first impression possible.

Manicure Steps:

1. The first step in a manicure is to shape or file the nails. You should never use a file on wet finger nails. Just as your hair is weaker and requires more care when it is wet, the same holds true for fingernails. There are four basic nail shapes: square, round, oval and pointed. The nail should be shaped to conform to the shape of the finger. The oval shape works well for most hands. Men, or people who do a lot of work with their hands, may prefer to wear their nails shorter and more rounded to avoid nail breakage. File each nail from the corner to the center, going from left to right and then right to left.
2. Rinse your hands and dry them carefully. Remove old nail polish using an acetone-free remover and cotton.

3. Soak your nails for three or four minutes in warm soapy water to which a few drops of lemon juice and olive oil have been added. This helps to soften and clean hands at the same time. Dry them carefully. Dig your nails into a soapy sponge to clean under the nail tips.

4. Gently lift up the skin around the nails with a orange sticks. Take care not to break the skin, which is called the cuticle. Under the cuticle the new nail is growing. They are very delicate, and need moisturising. To remove any soap deposit, wipe your nails again with nail polish remover.

5. Apply a base coat, beginning with the thumb.Base coats are normally transparent nail polishes, which are either strengtheners, or just present to stop the chemical products of the nail polish, to yellow your nails.
7. .After it has dried, apply nail polish.Use only 2 light coats, allowing the first to dry completely before applying the second.

8. Finally, when the polish is completely dry, massage the coconut oil/ Almond oil/ olive oil into your hands up to the wrist.
