If you take a container of any water and leave it outside for a week or a month it is going to begin to grow things in it that are plainly visible and if that same water is warm the process is going to be hastened.

The fact is that if you own a hot tub and you don't pay close attention to the warm water that is in it, you are going to learn an unwanted biology lessen in short order. Over the years people have been hospitalized as a result of sitting in poorly maintained hot tub water and its so senseless, because hot tub chemicals are so convenient and easy to use now.

In fact, there are hot tub chemical leaching devices now on the market that slowly and evenly disperse the hot tub chemicals into the water while you sleep. Hot tub chemicals come in two basic varieties and they are chlorine and bromine based.

One of the differences between the two is that chlorine based hot tub chemicals do have a chlorine smell to them that while some people can dislike others prefer. There are now hot tub chemical maintenance kits available that completely eliminate the guesswork with regards to maintaining your hot tub water.

Convenient test strips that are simply dipped into the hot tub water have replaced cumbersome testing methods of the past that required a “mini chemistry lab” to be set up on a counter somewhere.

The fact is, that if your hot tub chemicals are out of balance, people are going to know it, because there is a distinct fresh smell that properly maintained hot water has and if it is missing you may find yourself siting alone in your hot tub. So, if you plan on being the proper “host with the most” a regular hot tub chemical maintenance program is a must.
