The contract, awarded by the Hungarian paper producer W Hamburger Papirgyarto, covers engineering, procurement and construction management in connection with a new plant to be built at the customer's paper plant in Dunaujvaros in central Hungary. The plant will produce 50 MW of electricity and 160 MW of process steam and is scheduled for completion in 2010.
The financial details of the contract were not disclosed, but SWECO characterised the contract as a "major" assignment. The group has 4,900 employees involved in projects in 75 countries and reported sales of approximately SEK3.9bn in 2006. SWECO is listed on the OMX Nordic Exchange in Stockholm.
