Eye Makeup

Never use your fingers to apply makeup, it is totally unsanitary even if you did wash your hands, I don't think you are aware of the bacteria that harbors on your fingers. If you insist on using your fingers, be careful with how hard you are pressing and pulling on the skin around the eyes. You are really yanking and pulling on your client's skin. The skin around your eyes is so delicate and can tear easily. The best finger to use is your ring finger because it puts the least pressure on the skin than any of your other fingers.

Prep your eyes with concealer Concealer can be used to cover up undereye circles or just the bluish discoloration just under your inner eye. To cover dark undereye circles, apply three dots of concealer under each eye. Start at the inner corner where skin tends to be darkest, then under the pupil and the third on the outer edge. Pat, never rub with your ring finger (this finger tends to have the softest pad) until it disappears.

Eye Shadow-Women with small eyes should go easy on the eye shadow, as too much will make the eyes appear even smaller. To make the eyes appear larger, keep the color on the eyelid itself light but put a darker shade on the crease of the eyelid. Then, highlight under the brow. A woman with large eyes would want to wear dark colors on the eyelid, including the crease. The highlight should be a flat color under the brow. Eye shadow can be applied in a variety of ways depending upon the desired look and formulation. Typically application is done using sponges, fingers, and/or brushes. The most important aspect of applying eyeshadow, and makeup in general, is blending well. An eye shadow primer or base can be applied to prevent the shadow from fading or migrating to the crease.

Follow with eyeliner Dark eye shadows work great as eyeliners. Wet a slanted brush, then dip in a dark eye shadow. Line eyes as close to the upper lashes as possible from the inner corner to the outer corner. Follow with liner on bottom eyes, but only line from the middle of the eye out.

Applying eye mascara- Select a suitable color. If you have blond or red lashes then go for brown mascara. Darker-lashed women can consider brown for a casual look, and black or brown-black for more pronounced or dramatic lashes. Before applying mascara curl the lashes to widen the eyes. Prior to your mascara, Curl your lashes with an eyelash curler and apply all other eye makeup. Before you add mascara, add loose powder to the tips of the lashes. Doing this will allow the mascara to cling to it when applied for fuller, thicker and blacker lashes with lots of va-voom appeal!
Have nice eyebrows-If you have decided to tweeze, make sure you know what you are doing.

Get a tweezers and carefully pinch the hair (close to the skin) you are trying to take out. Pull the hair up, or straight out. Never pull the hair down. You will just break the hair. Try not to tweeze on top of your eyebrow. Use an old toothbrush or an eyebrow brush together with a fixing fluid such as hair gel, Vaseline (great for shine) or aloe Vera, to comb the brows into shape.
