The meanings of verse 57:22-23 of the Noble Quran:

Verse 57:22 says that:

Naught of disasters afflictions befall in the earth, such as drought, dryness of land, rise in prices and continuous hunger,
Or in yourselves, such as sicknesses, pains, misfortunes, the death of one's family members and children and loss of wealth;
But it is in a Book, meaning, the Preserved Tablet, before We bring it about, before We create it, i.e., before creation of the earth.
That is indeed easy for Allah.

Verse 57:23 says that:

And, Allah informs [you] of this so that you may not, grieve for what escapes you, nor exult, with a wanton exultation, rather an exultation that is followed by a thanksgiving for the grace, at what He has given you or what has come to you from Him’. For God does not like any vainglorious boaster;
Allah does not love all prideful people about their disbelief and boasters about their idolatry.
Allah does not like these kinds of people; this means that He will punish them severely at the Day of Judgment.

Verse 57:23

QARIB:
so that you will not be saddened for whatever does not come to you, nor be overjoyed in what has come to you. Allah does not love those who are proud and boastful

SHAKIR:
so that you may not grieve for what has escaped you, nor be exultant at what he has given you; and Allah does not love any arrogant boaster:

PICKTHAL:
that ye grieve not for the sake of that which hath escaped you, nor yet exult because of that which hath been given. Allah loveth not all prideful boasters,

YUSUFALI:
in order that ye may not despair over matters that pass you by, nor exult over favours bestowed upon you. for Allah loveth not any vainglorious boaster,-
