You want to spice up your home or office? Planning to put water fountains in your garden or maybe beside your office desk?

For starters, it should be certain that you know that water fountains can add beauty and improve the ambience of your home or office. You also know that water fountains can greatly improve a person’s social image and can leave a very good impression to those who will see the design of your office or home with the water fountain on.

Now to the more important questions, before you start getting a water fountain.

Where do you want to put it? For the home, do you want to put it in your bedroom? Or maybe you want it to gape free in the living room where visitors can see it? Now for the office, do you want it beside your table, or maybe to stand freely near the entrance to the room? Or do you want it to be placed at the center of the office where everyone can admire its beauty?

The location for your water fountain is very crucial. You don’t want the water fountain to be obtrusive, and you and other people certainly don’t want to trip or smash against the water fountain while walking from one room to the next. Make sure the space is wide enough to hold the water fountain, yet accessible enough for those people who will clean or maintain the fountain.

Do you want the water fountain to blend with the surrounding colors of your home or do you want it to stand out?

Don’t make your fountain look like a sore thumb. It should add to the ambience of the area where it is placed. A fountain that will easily blend with the background will greatly increase its aesthetic value.

How big is the water fountain? Do you want a small water fountain? Or do you prefer a large water fountain that will tower above your head?

For homes, a simple garden fountain, or maybe a small indoor fountain will do. It’s certainly economical and at the same time, it can add flavor to the surrounding ornaments at your place, without seeming obtrusive.

Commercial or Office water fountains on the other hand can range from middle-size to large. Space should be an important aspect of the planning. Remember to leave at least 5-7 inches of space on all sides of the fountain. Don’t be too thrifty on the space, or else your water fountain won’t have an aesthetic taste to them, and would become part of the bland background of your work room. Office water fountains should stand out.

And lastly, the most important question to ask before getting a water fountain – Do you have the budget for it?

Think twice before getting a water fountain. Think if it can add flavor to your office or home and if it is within your budget.
