Newcastle United Football Club is a professional football club in U.K The club, also known by its nicknames “The Magpies” or “The Toon”, is based in Newcastle upon Tyne, in Tyne and Wear. The club has played at the home ground, St. James’ Park stadium, whose capacity is 52, 387 people. The traditional kit of Newcastle is black and white shirts, black shorts and socks. Newcastle’s shirt sponsors were Scottish and Newcastle Breweries; home and away kit was developed by Adidas.

Newcastle was founded in 1892 as a result of merging between two clubs, Newcastle East End and Newcastle West End. Since that time Newcastle United has won numerous tournaments and championships. The club has won the Inter-Cities Fairs Cup, four times the First Division Championship and six times the FA Cup. Newcastle has won the games against many famous football clubs, such as Arsenal, Rangers, Sporting Lisbom and Feyenoord, gaining them many Newcastle fans. The club has played in 13th Premier League in 2006-2007; its current manager is Sam Allardyce.

Newcastle has a large fan base; its supporters are considered to be the most passionate and dedicated among football club fans. The supporters of Newcastle call themselves “The Toon Army”. They publish fan magazines called “True Faith” and “The Mag”. The magazines include Newcastle news, Newcastle articles, and also Newcastle transfer rumours about Newcastle and other clubs. Newcastle has a long-standing rivalry with another local club, Sunderland. Newcastle has the third highest average attendance in England, which indicates the high level of support of football fans.
