P.S.I Love You is Irish writer Cecelia Ahern's first novel,
published in 2004.The book reached #1 bestseller status in Ireland (for 19 weeks), the United Kingdom, the United States, Germany, and the Netherlands. I have labeled it the sleeper film of 2007.

PS I Love You premiered in LA on Hollywood Boulevards Graumann
Chinese Theater on December 9TH 2007. The event was attended by the main cast members and received fantastic reports, emphasizing the build up to the big launch on that took place on December 21st.

Directed by Richard LaGravenese, this movie deals with A young widow who discovers that her late husband has left her 10 messages intended to help ease her pain and start a new life

Ms. Swank [Holly Kennedy] plays Holly Kennedy, a 29-year-old New Yorker who, shortly after the story takes off, becomes a widow. Her husband, Gerry [Gerard Butler), however, doesn’t fully disappear. Instead he visibly lingers in her apartment, he seems less like a ghost than like a manifestation of her grief.

When we first meet Holly she is emotionally devastated by the death of her husband Gerry from a brain tumor and she does not want to keep living without him.[They grew up as
childhood sweethearts and everyone thought that they would stay together forever] A little later though, on a trip to her mother's house, Holly picks up a mysterious package that is addressed to her from Gerry. It contains 10 envelopes with notes that he wrote to her to be opened on the first of every
month starting the month after he died. It seems that Gerry knew about his upcoming demise and he wanted to leavesomething for Holly. The letters are thoughtful, and range from the exoticto things to help Holly get her life back ontrack. Each one ends with the novel's title phrase, "PS, I love you". With the help of her friends Denise [Lisa Kudrow] and Sharon [Gina Gershon], Holly finds a way to keep going even when the one thing she loved more than anything
else has stopped.

So there are three mysteries: the mystery of the arriving letters, the mystery of mom Elizabeth’s emotional health and the mystery of Holly’s future. Unfortunately for Swank,
she is not at her best. Maybe we expect too much after her previous two Oscar performances. Her lines, and the overall plot, are not up to what she had in the past.

Nevertheless, this is still a remarkable performance that shows her versatility and her commitment to performing a broad range of roles.

Lisa Kudrow flat out steals the show playing a brutally honest man-hunter in a world where honest man-hunting is notnecessarily politically correct. Her performance was uncanny.

Even with the obvious blunders in this film,I believe thatthis may be the sleeper film of 2007. It may never winan Oscar nomination but it is such an enjoyable movie to watch and the choreography was excellent.
