When considering expanding or growing your mortgage business, the most important aspect of your mortgage marketing will be to have a comprehensive mortgage list. A mortgage list is a quality list of potential leads that you can target as long as they meet your preset profile. The list can also be target towards any particular program your business may be offering. This in effect will make for a more cost effective advertising campaign and get you a higher response rate.
A mortgage list, just like any other quality list, has certain vital information included such as the borrowers and the lenders names, lender address, property address, mortgage amount, and mortgage type. The list will contain the better potential leads that are prime prospects for a mortgage offer. You can even use the list to select leads with debt exceeding a particular amount of money. These persons are considered prime prospects for a mortgage.
When you get a quality list you are able to target potential clients by certain criteria such as earnings, mortgage totals, home equity, credit lines, and bankruptcy proceedings. The list can also be used in conjunction with the prospects credit scores to further narrow down your targeted leads.

Though it is possible for your business to compile its own list this is likely to be a costly and time consuming venture. It is advised that a lead generating company be used as they have the capacity and capabilities to acquire many quality lists including mortgage lists and credit lists.
