Description
The Hyundai A200 is a Smart phone, which uses an Intel PXA272 processor running at a clock speed of 520MHz. The device makes use of the Microsoft Windows Mobile 5.0 as its operating system, and packs in 64MB of RAM and 192MB of ROM. And if that kind of storage space isn't sufficient, you can always use an SD media card to crank it up through its external storage media slot. At first sight, the A200 looks well designed with a large 2.8", 65,536-colour TFT display covering almost 60 percent of the front cover, with the keypad making up the rest. However, the display wasn't quite visible in bright outdoors and we struggled to read the text on the screen in the event of an incoming SMS.

Features and Specifications
The A200 is a tri-band phone (GSM900/1800/1900) with GPRS class 10, and so you need not worry about the mobile phone coverage if you are a globetrotter. While other connectivity options included Bluetooth version 1.2, USB Sync and IrDA, Dimensions : 122X60X21mm,Weight : 150g.Internet and WAP browser, Support Wi-Fi 802.11b/g connectivity, Support Bluetooth connectivity, Support Java 2.0 platform, MMS (Multimedia Messaging Service), Intel PXA272 520MHz processor, Microsoft Windows Mobile 5.0 Smart phone Edition Operating System, 64MB RAM, 192MB Flash ROM, 2.8” 240X320 pixels 65536 colors TFT LCD display screen, 1.3M resolutions CMOS VGA digital camera with video recorder/playback and flash light function, MP3/MP4/AAC player, Internal antenna, Speakerphone, Built-in microphone, speaker and earphone/microphone jack with stereo sound, Call vibration, Voice dialing and recording function, MP3/MIDI polyphonic ring tone, T9 text input predictive software,STK (Sim Tool Kit),Infrared and USB client, SD/MMC card expansion slot, Downloadable applications, games, pictures, animations and ring tones. Conclusion
Hyundai has tuned its A200 Smart phone for the regional market. The device accompanies a bunch of Arabised applications called the Imaginet Software Star Suite. Though the A200 does double up as a Personal Media Player with its capability of playing audio and video files, we sorely missed the FM functionality, which is a standard in most entry-level mobile phones today. The sound quality of the accompanying earphones was average. However what surprised us was the device's ability to play a whole range of audio file formats such as MP3, MIDI, WMA, AMR, H263, AAC and WAV, and video file formats such as AVI and 3GP. Though the Hyundai A200 claims a standby time of 150 hours, we were able to keep it alive for about 7 hours of use on a single charge. Pros: Wi-Fi connectivity, large 2.8" TFT LCD screen, ease of use, acceptable battery life. Cons: Wi-Fi connectivity failed to work, No FM Tuner, navigation glitchy at times, average sound quality for Personal Media Player functionality. Bottom Line: A200 is a nice device with a good set of features.
