Fitness is well being of a person. It does not only mean well being or healthy body but the truth is that fitness means healthy and fit brain. It is fit and healthy brain that can inculcate fresh thought and ideas for better living. Hence, the role foe healthy brain has been recognized. The health of brain plays a critical role in almost everything you do: thinking, feeling, remembering, working, and playing – even sleeping. All activities can be properly maintained only if the brain is healthy.

There are many kinds of steps that should be included in the daily routine to ensure healthy and fit brain. First main point to consider is that adequate supply of nutrients to the brain. it has been rightly said that it is not only the stomach that needs food in fact it is the brain that is in need of constant supply of nutrients to function properly. Health experts believe that there are some sorts of foods that affect adversely, those foods should be avoided. It is believed that the foods rich in fatty acids, vitamins and minerals particular the vitamin are considered good for brain.

It is observed that the human brain is 78% of water so dehydration tends to decreases the level of performance. It is recommended that one must intake adequate amount of water and other fluids to keep brain functioning properly. It is advised that one should take at least 6 glasses of water a day to allow it think clearly. The adequate in take of water helps in reducing headaches, tiredness, dizziness and depression.

It has been believed that only water and diet can’t help to keep your brain refreshed always. There is a strong need to sleep adequately. It is believed that sleep deprivation no doubt results very adversely. It is suggested that a person should take at least eight hours of good sleep in order to keep his brain working well. One more very important aspect to be considered in case of brain is that one must use ones both hands. Researchers are of the view that using your left hand more often incase you are right handed and vice a versa can help stimulate parts of brain that you normally don’t use.

Hence, it has been felt that the brain is a most important organ that needs attention and care. It is very important to exercise in fresh air and take all necessary steps in order to ensure good health of brain.
