This is called link building. Each related site will host the links of the other sites that may not be competitors but belong to the same category of industry. Search engines do a good job of directing traffic to your site by studying the category of the advertisements and directing the people who may be interested in you products to your site.

It is important to create relevant content that attracts visitors to your site and keep them there until they decide on the product or service they want to use.
