Fitness is something that adds quality to the life. It is very well said that a fit person is the one who reaps the maximum benefit in every aspect. Fit people can give and take the best, be it is work, studies or living. It has been termed that fitness is the most important thing to be maintained in the life to attain ones goals. In contrary to fit people are the fat people who tend to face a lot many problems in life.

There are a lot of problems that a fat or obese person tends to get; to name a few are cardiovascular diseases, diabetes mellitus type 2, sleep apnea, osteoarthritis, kidney stones, fatigue, high blood pressure and cardio problems like heart arrest or even heart attack.

Obesity has been defined as a weight more than 20% above what is considered normal according to standard age, height, and weight tables, or by a complex formula known as the body mass index. It has been estimated that 30% to 35% of Americans are overweight.

Keeping in view the rising problems due to obesity; it’s becoming more important to adopt such strategies that help you cope up with the obesity. We can say that it is time to move from fatness to fitness. There are a many kinds of things that are adopted by the people to shred their weight and become closer to fit body. Most commonly adopted strategy by people all over the world is dieting or fasting; in which people try to starve or take minimum food. Dieting or fasting has been a false strategy as it tends to make you weak and never take you towards fitness.

It has been believed that exercising is the best way to fitness. It has been proved that exercising every day helps you shed wisely without turning you weak. You may loose at slow speed but excising is the best step towards fitness. The weight you shed by the medium of exercise would not get into double in cases of breaks. In dieting you may gain double when you come back to your normal schedule because in dieting your body tends to become weak as it has to starve. There is a need of food but when that need is not fulfilled body tends to become weak. Hence, fitness is not gained infact you tend to become immune to various diseases. In exercising, the body tends to use each nutrient of the food you intake while you are burning the excessive calories that results to weight loss.

It has been suggested that one should do good amount of exercise regularly to prevent falling prey to diseases and can attain fitness in true meaning.
