If you run an Internet business then you need to use an Autoresponder. An Autoresponder sends email messages to your client list. An Autoresponder is set up so that it sends emails automatically. You can specify how and when the emails are sent. An Autoresponder can save you a considerable amount of time and money. A cream of the crop Autoresponder program is called “Auto Response Plus”. The Auto Response Plus Autoresponder has several features. This article highlights some of the features in this program. It is vital that you understand how to use Auto Response Plus before you start sending out emails. For example, you don’t want to send out an email that is not ready. Auto Response Plus categorizes your subscriber list based on their status in the system. Following is a list of categories and their meanings:


“SUBS”: This category tells you the number of subscribers in your Autoresponder. This number can be in the hundreds or thousands depending upon how many people signed up for your list.


“Subscriber Split”: This gives information about the status of each subscriber.


“ACT”: Subscribers in this category are active in the system. They will receive the email messages you send through the Autoresponder.


“SUS”: Subscribers in this category are suspended. This option is rarely used. You may want to suspend a subscriber at their request. They may be out of town for a few months and temporarily do not want to receive your emails. You can reinstate them when they return.


“CAN”: Subscribers in this category are cancelled. These subscribers have decided to unsubscribe from your list. You should have an unsubscribe link on your email. This ensures that you comply with the “Can Spam Accordance” in the United States. The unsubscribe link is already present automatically in the Auto Response Plus.


“Dropped”: Subscribers in this category are those that you want to move from an old version of an email message program to a new version of an email message program.


“FIN”: Subscribers in this category have received all the email messages from your email schedule.


“Failed”: Subscribers in this category did not receive your email. This can occur for a number of reasons. One reason may be that they mistyped their email address when they subscribed to your list. Another reason is that their email inbox may be too full and won’t accept any more incoming messages.
