Fire –the most tragic thing for an individual. Despite of the fact that fire has both positive and negative effect on an individual, it certainly gives a tragic turn to a life. Suppose a house gets burnt, then not only the house but its surroundings as well as the material around the surrounding will also get burnt by which a person will have to face many losses at a time and what then if a person gets burnt? A little burn has some much of pain on it and what then if a person gets sixty or seventy percent of the burns on his body?

To avoid such circumstances at work place or at home, people install fire extinguishers near their entrance gate or in the stairs of the building. Fire extinguishers are of vital importance for each and every person. Fire extinguishers are generally used in an emergency and temporarily till one call a fire brigade. This makes a little effect in stopping the fire to get more spoiled till the time fire brigade comes and starts its work.

One always needs to be alert at that point of time.

 He should always have his senses on so that as soon as he hears the smell of the smoke or even see smoke getting out of somewhere.
 He should immediately inform the management as well as call the fire brigade.
 He should not create panic amongst the people over there.
 He should make other people alert and make them run out of the place they are in so that no one faces injuries.
 Fire extinguisher should be made to use till the time fire brigade arrives.
 Water and sand should also be thrown on fire.
 Should be taken care of that no approaches near the fire because some children are always in habit of taking every thing as fun which can get serious at a later stage.
 You should ensure that fire brigade comes on time or second call should be made immediately.
 An alarm should be raised.
 Every place should have a fire proof alarm so that it starts ringing as soon as fire starts its work. This is the best alternative to be on the safest side.

Fire risk assessment is one of the important jobs for the people of fire station so that they can take an efficient step at the time of fire.
