Hollywood has changed over the years, but it continues to have much to offer the native or the tourist. Theater here is spectacular and diverse. Conveniently the subway can take you downtown Los Angeles to the jewelry district; from there walk the historic district, the flower mart, the garment district, and Echo Park. At night catch a double-decker bus tour of the stars’ homes, or, in summer, attend an outdoor concert and picnic at the Hollywood Bowl. Some may enjoy the club scene where you can see and be seen. If you have an open mind and a sense of adventure, you can spend several days exploring just a few square miles.
