Rio de Janeiro is a city located in southeastern Brazil. Many people also know Rio de Janeiro as the Marvelous City. The population of Rio de Janeiro is just over six million people making one of the most densely populated cities in all of South America. But with all of those people in one area Rio de Janeiro is one of the top tourist destinations in the world. Every year Rio de Janeiro sees tourists from all over the world. For people that are interested in sports, Rio de Janeiro is the place to be. This holds particularly true if you are interested in soccer. But Rio de Janeiro goes well beyond just one sport. International flights in and out of Rio de Janeiro are taken care of at the Antonio Carlos Jobim International Airport. For smaller planes and flights to nearby locations there are two other airports in Rio de Janeiro
If you want to travel to a tropical destination with a lot to see, Rio de Janeiro should fit the bill. The weather in Rio de Janeiro is always appealing, and there are all sorts of activities you can take part in. It is safe to say that Rio de Janeiro is one of the top cities for tourists in all of South America.
