Are you looking for a place to travel to this vacation season or perhaps you were pondering a study abroad in England? If so, take my advice and look into visiting Ireland. This beautiful island holds many wonders, both natural and man-made. Ireland is a land which captures and enthralls the imagination while flooding all of your senses. Home to lush green landscapes, sparkling seas, hidden coves, dramatic mountains and welcoming people, Ireland has a little of everything to offer.
As you travel through the countryside, you'll quickly recognize its signature rolling green pastures. Take the time to get out of the car for a moment and walk through the fields. It is enough to resuscitate any weary traveler back to life with a calm and serene beauty. Take a tour of some of the strange stone formations or thousand-year-old churches during your Ireland study abroad program. The countryside is home to some of the most intriguing remnants of a unique but turbulent history.
For such a small island, Ireland has more to offer a traveler than countries twice its size. Whatever you’re interested in doing or studying, the Emerald Isle can provide it and you’ll never be disappointed. Here are just a few of the many great things Ireland has to offer.
Food
Irish restaurants are home to some of the best food in all of Europe. As a matter of fact, many students involved with study abroad programs in England, often travel to Ireland on long weekends to enjoy its cuisine. Its restaurants offer a diverse selection of seafood. Local chefs create fabulous dishes with freshly caught mussels and perfect Irish cheese.
Landscape
No matter what type of hobbies you enjoy, Ireland is home to it. Do you enjoy going for walks? You have the choice of a stroll along the coast, with its spectacular cliffs stand alongside sheltered beaches, or hiking up some mountain trails.
People
Another reason why trips to Ireland are at the top of everyone's wish lists is the Irish people. No where else in the world will you meet people who are more welcoming. Child-friendly, Ireland is an ideal destination for families with children of any age. The local hospitality in restaurants, pubs and guest houses is one of the things that stay with you long after you return home.
If you’ve yet to visit Ireland for a vacation or as part of an Ireland study abroad program, then there is no time like now to look at what this beautiful county has to offer. Be warned that one visit is never enough and you'll be planning your next trip the moment you get back home.
