Drug screening is commonly done all over the world to check the authenticity and honesty of an individual. Drug screening can be done for various purposes. There are pre-employment drug screening, post employment drug screening and other types of screening done on the basis of criminal offenses. However, drug screenings that are done in USA can be sub divided into two groups namely federal and non-federal.

However, there are a few types of drug screening stated below:

Pre-employment drug screening: This type of screening is conducted by companies and other business organizations. The test is usually conducted on employees before they are recruited. This test is less expensive, as the employer pays for a single test per employee. However, another type of drug screening usually done for employees is the urine-based test.

Random drug screening: Police officials, military forces, corporate offices and rehab centers mostly use random drug testing. Parents may also carry this test on their children.

Post-incident drug screening: As the name suggests, this test is usually conducted after an accident in an organization to safeguard the firm from any sorts of burden in an event. Moreover, it will also detect the individual’s influence of drugs at the time of the incident. However, if an individual is found using drugs, the matter can directly be taken to the court and the company will not be responsible for any sorts of injuries to the employee.

Thus, with the use of drug screening, the rate of drug intake can be controlled.
