Having lower back pain can hamper your game and cause other problems. Lower back pain hits at least 80% of all armature players at sometime in there golfing career. It can be a one time thing or it can turn into a serious problem. It will not only affect your game but could cause you to stop completely.
Here are some tips to avoid the causes of lower back pain.
Make sure your equipment fits, if you are 6 ft. tall you don’t use a set of clubs designed for someone 5 ft. 4 in. You have to adjust your body to much to use the smaller clubs and the result is back pain. And the same is true for the opposite, a short person using clubs designed for someone much taller.
Making sure u do stretching exercise is very important, you need to get into a routine and do the exercises. Here is an exercise the will do an excellent job of adding endurance and strength to the lower back muscles.
This exercise that cures golf back pain is done by lying flat on the floor on your stomach with your hands at your sides. You then raise your chest and upper body as well as arms and legs as high as you can. You do this so that your stomach supports the weight of your entire body. Hold the position and go for a count of 10. Doing this simple exercise for 2 sets daily will completely eliminate your low back pain for good.
Often overlooked is hydration. Make sure you drink lots of water during your play. This is even more important on those hot days. Keeping your body hydrated will go a long way in reducing pain both during and after your game.
So if the pain persists, you may have other things going on and you need to seek help from a health care professional.
